About Us

Formed in 2003, Alamo Energy, L.C. is an exploration and production company whose primary business is the development of oil and gas properties located in various counties in Texas.  With a major focus on South Texas, Alamo Energy seeks to explore and develop well defined drilling prospects, with a primary focus on Webb, Zapata, Duval, Starr and Live Oak Counties.

Principals

Thomas G. ("Tommy") McDonald is a geologist/geophysicist with over 20 years of exploration and development experience in South Texas.  Recent efforts include the mapping and development of over 30 Bcf of proven gas reserves in the "Perdido/Lobo" Wilcox Trend of Zapata County within the past 18 months.   Stephen R. ("Randy") West has been actively involved in evaluating and developing oil and gas ventures for over 20 years. Initially becoming involved in the industry as a landman, he has gone on to be the founder of Three Rivers Energy, Ltd. located in San Antonio. Randy’s experience in structuring oil and gas prospects coupled with lease negotiating skills has aided him greatly in the pursuit of lease acquisitions and prospect development for the benefit of Alamo Energy. Office Management 

  Zandra Duke is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Applied Learning and Development.  She handles the day to day administrative obligations and responsibilities of Alamo Energy.  Zandra’s over 14 years of business administration and bookkeeping experience add greatly to Alamo Energy’s success.
